The School of Coral Reef Restoration (SCORES) is a unit within the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences at IPB University. Established on December 6, 2021, by Tries Razak, Beginer Subhan, and the late Hawis Madduppa, SCORES serves as a learning and sharing platform for coral reef restoration practitioners in Indonesia and around the world. As of now, SCORES primarily focuses on arranging bi-weekly webinars featuring speakers from both Indonesia and abroad, who share their experiences in coral reef restoration. The goal is to provide valuable insights that can serve as learning opportunities for other practitioners. The hope is that these shared experiences can inspire success stories and help others avoid mistakes in their own restoration efforts. In the future, SCORES aims to oversee and provide guidance for best practices, including regulations and procedures, to improve the effectiveness of restoration activities in Indonesia.
